My document won't upload: formats, size and fixes

A document refuses to upload to your knowledge base? In most cases, a few checks are enough.

Supported formats

For source documents: Word (.docx), PDF, TXT, Excel (.xlsx / .xls), CSV, and other standard formats.

Checks to run

• Confirm the format is on the list above.
• Avoid very large files: split an overly heavy document into parts.
• Rename the file with a short name and no special characters before uploading.
• Avoid uploading directly from a USB drive or a deeply nested folder.
