My export is empty or badly formatted

Your exported file comes out empty, incomplete or with strange characters? Here's how to fix it.

Common causes

• The analysis didn't generate answers, or none are available yet.
• Special characters display poorly depending on the software used to open the file.
• A mismatch between questions and answers on a file with an unusual structure.

Fixes

1. Check that answers were actually generated before exporting.
2. Open the exported file with up-to-date software (recent Excel, Word).
3. Try exporting with, then without the sources, to compare.
4. If the mismatch persists, report it to support with the original file.
